The Miss Mt. Nebo Pageant, proudly sponsored by the Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce, offers young women a chance to build self-confidence, master interview skills, and create lifelong friendships. Our mission is to nurture these qualities through competitions in interview, evening gown, and on-stage questions. These experiences not only prepare participants for job interviews and public speaking but also cultivate poise and presentation skills that benefit them in school clubs like Future Business Leaders of America and beyond.

The Little Miss Mt. Nebo Pageant celebrates young girls ages 0 to 13, emphasizing beauty, grace, and confidence. This event provides participants with the chance to showcase their unique personalities and talents in a fun, supportive environment.

The pageant features categories for all age groups, including formal wear and optional talent segments. Contestants will be judged on appearance, poise, confidence, and stage presence, with the opportunity to participate in the Miss Photogenic category, highlighting their most captivating photos.

The Miss Mt. Nebo Pageant is proud to be an official preliminary for the Miss Arkansas and Miss Arkansas Teen Pageants. This designation allows our winners to compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant.

For the Miss Mt Nebo Pageant contestants from the eligible counties of Conway, Franklin, Logan, Johnson, Perry, Pope, Sebastian, and Yell are welcome to compete for this incredible opportunity.

The Miss Mt Nebo Teen Pageant is open to  state entries.

The Miss Mt. Nebo Pageant began as part of the 31st Annual Mt. Nebo Chicken Fry on May 19, 1979, atop the picturesque Mount Nebo. Contestants competed on a flatbed trailer in categories such as swimwear, casual wear, and interviews. That year, Rhonda Barton of Plainview was crowned the first Miss Mt. Nebo, with Kim Vernon and Vickie Robertson, both from Dardanelle, earning first and second runner-up titles.

Since its inception, the Miss Mt. Nebo Pageant has grown into a celebrated tradition, supported by the Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce and serving as a stepping stone for young women to compete on the Miss Arkansas stage.

Join us in supporting the Little Miss Mt Nebo Pageant and the Miss Mt Nebo and Miss Mt Nebo Teen Pageants, official preliminaries for the Miss Arkansas Pageant. These events celebrate beauty, confidence, and leadership, fostering personal growth and community pride.

The Little Miss Mt Nebo Pageant, for girls ages 0 to 13, will be held on Friday, February 14th, at the Dardanelle Community Center. The Miss Mt Nebo and Miss Teen Mt Nebo Pageants will take place on Saturday, February 15th, showcasing young women statewide in categories that highlight poise, fitness, public speaking, and leadership skills.
